Parrying Dagger (Hilt matching Wallace Collection A544)

Parrying dagger, with a blade of my design, the hilt matching the sword A544 in the Wallace Collection.

The hilt, ornamented with cartouches containing figures and masks, made up of: flattened cylindrical pommel; wire-bound grip; s-curved quillons; side ring; hilt arms; forward guards…1

The original is on display in the Wallace Collection, London (Object A544).

  • Overall length: 380mm
  • Blade length: 267mm
  • Blade width at base: 20mm
  • Weight: 326g

The blade is slightly flexible, to be allowed in HEMA tournaments. Although this is a severe compromise in performance, as a parrying dagger should be as light and stiff as possible.

This dagger is for sale. If you are interested, contact me .
