Pappenheimer Rapier (replica of Swiss National Museum SH70.1)

A replica of a Pappenheimer hilt rapier from the Swiss National museum (Inv. Nr. SH70.1), the only modification is that it is left-handed.

The weapon is probably a composite, as the blade does not properly match the hilt. The hilt is an oversized Pappenheimer hilt suitable for handling with a plate gauntlet, the blade a very long and slender purely thrust oriented design. However, it has a lot of charm and is very well balanced.
